Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Aioli Sandwich

The classic BLT, it’s hard to beat, right?! Wrong. We’ve done it and it’s so simple. A hearty slathering of our creamy, garlic aioli and you’re taking that humble sandwich to 11/10

Time: 15 minutes

 

  • Ingredients:
      • 8 rashers smoked / streaky bacon
      • 2 tsp sunflower oil
      • 75g Holy Moly Aioli
      • 4 slices thick cut, white sandwich bread of your choice
      • 1⁄4 iceberg lettuce
      • 2 - 4 salad tomatoes
      • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Method:
      1. Place bacon in a large frying pan with the oil, on medium heat and cook slowly, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crisp. Remove to a plate with kitchen paper.
      2. Finely shred the lettuce and slice the tomatoes.
      3. Lightly toast the bread if you wish, then spread all pieces with Aioli. Add a layer or lettuce, followed by the tomato and season with black pepper. Top with bacon, another layer of lettuce and remaining bread.
